RE: Proposed Delegation from the USA to visit Bayelsa State, Nigeria
In furtherance with the collaboration between Earth Rights Institute and the Bayelsa State government, we would like to thank you for your invitation to come and visit the Bayelsa State, in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We graciously accept your invitation and have a proposed list of individuals who we believe could be of assistance in your process to establish for the Niger Delta University an accreditation of its academic programs as well as other projects.
Besides the Earth Rights Institute members, there is included in the list individuals from our established partnership we have with the Martin Luther King Jr./Charles Drew Medical Center, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and the World-Wide Congress for Racial Equality in Los Angeles. Recently, our collaboration with them has provided the donation to the Bayelsa State of 1153 medical textbooks and 265 medical videos to be given to the Faculty of Medicine which is in route to Port Harcourt.
We would like to offer to His Excellency, Executive Governor for Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Solomon Peter Alamieyeseigha, Ph.D and his government our services and support in the assistance of advancing the educational, health care and sustainable development aspects of his region.
Earth Rights Institute and the above mentioned organizations believe this visit will further help us to assist in the implementation of ongoing programs that will benefit your people, especially towards the development of a sound health care and medical curriculum, medical/technological training, scholarships for students to other Universities and educational programs that address the welfare of your communities in the Niger Delta region.
For your convenience, Earth Rights Institute has attached the bios of each person who will want to partake in this collaboration and be considered part of the USA delegation to come in mid-September.
